About our Group

The Space Coast Amateur Radio Society, Inc. (SCARS) was formed in 2024 to fill a gap in the amateur radio community providing public service and auxiliary communications services focused in the Central Brevard County Florida area. Members can live anywhere but the focus of our activities is from the Power Plants north of Port St. John south to Post Road.  We are a "full service" amateur radio club in that we have social activities in addition to operational activities and training to improve our member's ability to operate during a disaster when called up by our served entities.
