Our Monthly Meeting has been moved to Thursday December 18 at Jimmy Hulas on US1 Just south of the Pineda Causway. Jimmy Hula's is making a donation to SCARS based on the value of checks credited towards us that evening. We encourage all members to bring friends and family to enjoy good food, lively conversation and help SCARS grow.

Winter Field Day is our next major operating activity on Jan 24-25 2026. Our location is still TBD, look for updates here and via Ham Club Online. We will be operating multiple HF stations for both Voice and Digital (RTTY, PSK31, and possibly VARA HF and JS8CALL). As with all of our events, they are open to the public and unlicensed or new hams are encouraged to get on the air with us and learn about HF operations. Setup will begin at 0800 and the contest starts at 1100 Eastern Check the newsletter and email for more details on this wonderful event. SCARS participated at Makerfaire Orlando 2025. We had hundreds of individuals stop by our booth to learn more about amateur radio and SCARS. Other than the rain that flooded our location multiple times on Sunday, the weather was outstanding and everyone who participated seemed to have a good time. This is an opportunity going forward to highlight Amateur Radio to makers (as we are the only radio service where you can make and then use your own equpment).
